A pioneering institution for women's higher education in the heart of Mardan. WUM is dedicated to providing a secure and culturally sensitive environment where female students can excel in diverse fields ranging from Microbiology and Biochemistry to Political Science and Management Sciences.
Established in 2016 by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, WUM was founded to meet the long-standing demand for a dedicated female university in the Mardan region. It initially operated within the infrastructure of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan before moving to its own dedicated campus in Sheikh Maltoon Town.

Highly subsidized public sector pricing. For the 2025-26 session, 1st-semester fees for Regular BS programs range from 40,200 PKR (Non-Lab) to 44,050 PKR (Lab Disciplines). Subsequent semesters drop significantly to approx 36,250 PKR. Self-Finance programs are higher, starting at approx 56,250 PKR for the 1st semester.
