University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila

A major public engineering university located in the historic city of Taxila. It serves as a primary feeder for Pakistan's heavy industries (HIT, POF, HMC) located in the Wah-Taxila industrial belt.

Established in 1975 as a constituent college of UET Lahore, it operated in Sahiwal before moving to Taxila in 1978. It gained independent university charter in 1993 and has since grown into a massive engineering complex spread over 163 acres near the Gandhara civilization sites.

Moderate fees. Regular (Open Merit) fee is approx 85,000 PKR (Admission) followed by ~66,000 PKR/Sem. 'Partial Subsidized' (Self-Finance) category is significantly higher, approx 180,000 - 200,000 PKR/Sem.
