Pakistan's premier university for languages and cultural studies. Originally established to train military personnel in foreign languages, it has expanded into a full-fledged general university known for its diversity and international faculty.
Founded in 1969 as the National Institute of Modern Languages, it was elevated to university status in 2000. It is the only university in Pakistan teaching over 25 oriental and occidental languages and hosts the largest number of international students.
