About NMU

Founded on April 28, 1951, as Nishtar Medical College by the then Governor of Punjab, Sardar Abdul Rab Nishtar, it was elevated to university status in 2017.

For Open Merit MBBS, the annual tuition is highly subsidized at approx. 35,000 - 45,000 PKR. For the 2025-26 session, the PM&DC capped tuition for foreign/self-finance seats at 1.89 million PKR. Allied Health programs average 40,000 - 50,000 PKR per semester.
