Southern Punjab's premier federal engineering institution. Located on Khanewal Road, NFC-IET is renowned for its strong industrial linkages, particularly with the fertilizer and chemical process industries. It is a federal degree-awarding institute that produces highly skilled engineers and technologists who are preferred by national industrial giants like Pak Arab Fertilizers.
Founded in 1985 as a Training Center with Japanese technical collaboration (COSMO Japan) to serve the National Fertilizer Corporation. It was upgraded to an engineering institute in 1994 (initially affiliated with BZU) and finally granted a federal charter as an independent university in 2012. It has since expanded from a single Chemical Engineering department to a multi-disciplinary technological hub.
