MNS UET was envisioned in 2012 by the Government of Punjab to fulfill the long-standing need for a high-tier engineering university in Southern Punjab. Chartered in 2014, it initially operated at the Government College of Technology before moving to its own dedicated campus in Qasimpur. Its history is marked by rapid infrastructure growth, specifically the ongoing development of the massive Lar Campus, which aims to accommodate advanced research wings in Artificial Intelligence and Renewable Energy.
