Established in 1998 under a charter by the Government of Sindh, MAJU was founded by the Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) to honor the Quaid-e-Azam. It initially operated campuses in Karachi and Islamabad; the latter evolved into the independent Capital University (CUST) in 2015. Today, MAJU Karachi stands as a powerhouse of research and professional training, boasting a 25-year legacy of producing market-ready graduates for Pakistan's financial capital.

Fees are credit-hour based. For 2026, all BS programs (CS, AI, BBA, Biotech) charge 9,000 PKR per credit hour. A standard 18-hour semester costs 162,000 PKR. One-time charges include an Admission Fee of 20,000 PKR and an Application Processing Fee of 3,000 PKR.
