The first public sector medical university of Pakistan. Located in the Jamshoro education corridor, it is the primary hub for medical education in rural Sindh, producing thousands of doctors and specialists.
Tracing its roots to the Liaquat Medical College (LMC) established in 1881 (as a medical school) and upgraded in 1951, it became a full-fledged university in 2001. It serves as the regulating body for medical education across the entire Hyderabad and Jamshoro divisions.
