Located on North Canal Bank Road, UBAS is a purpose-built university dedicated exclusively to Applied Health, Biological, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. It integrates clinical training with academic theory through its affiliation with the historic Lahore Medical & Dental College (LMDC) and multiple teaching hospitals, featuring 18+ high-tech research laboratories and a sprawling 120-kanal campus designed for the future of healthcare education.
UBAS's legacy began in 1997 with the establishment of Lahore Medical and Dental College (LMDC), the first private medical college in Punjab. In 2023, following its acquisition by the Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC), LMDC was awarded a university charter and evolved into the Lahore University of Biological and Applied Sciences (UBAS). It is the 4th university under the PGC umbrella, joining UCP, CUST, and MAJU, with a mission to specialize in the rapidly evolving fields of applied health sciences and biotechnology.
