Lahore Leads University was established in 2011 under the aegis of the Leads Educator Welfare Trust, founded by the visionary educationist Abdul Ghafoor Wattoo. It was granted a full university charter by the Government of Punjab on January 22, 2011. Under its first Vice Chancellor, the renowned academician Dr. Khairat M. Ibne Rasa, the university quickly transitioned from a specialized institute into a comprehensive multi-disciplinary seat of learning.
