Lahore College for Women University

The largest and most prestigious public university for women in Asia. Located on Jail Road in the heart of Lahore, LCWU is a beacon of female empowerment, offering over 42 undergraduate disciplines. It is celebrated for its historic architecture and its 'Iqra Auditorium,' which has hosted generations of Pakistan's female leadership. The university balances a rich heritage in Liberal Arts with a rapidly growing Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

Founded in May 1922 as an intermediate residential college on Hall Road with only 60 students. It relocated to its current iconic Jail Road site in 1950. The institution achieved administrative autonomy in 1990 and was formally elevated to a full-fledged Women University on September 10, 2002. Over its century-long journey, LCWU has produced an extraordinary number of physicians, teachers, and professionals, earning its reputation as the 'Nursery of Professional Women' in Punjab.

Regular (Morning) BS programs are highly subsidized, costing approx 43,400 PKR for the 1st semester and ~32,380 PKR for subsequent semesters. Self-Supporting (Evening) programs are higher, ranging from 66,550 PKR (CS/English) to 85,000 PKR (Fine Arts/Design) per semester. Pharm-D is approx 47,750 PKR per semester.
