About KUM
A high-altitude hub for Tourism and Life Sciences. Located at the scenic Kashmir Point, KUM is a breakthrough for the educational development of Murree and its adjoining areas. As a specialized public sector institution, it focuses on disciplines critical to the local economy, such as Tourism, Hospitality, Forestry, and Biotechnology, while providing a serene environment for academic excellence.
Established in 2020 by the Government of the Punjab under the Kohsar University Murree Act-2020. The university was inaugurated to provide higher education access to the people of Murree, Kotli Sattian, and Kahuta. It utilizes existing historic buildings, including the Resource Centre Murree and Punjab House, as part of its multi-campus structure.

Highly affordable public sector pricing. Regular BS programs (English, Psychology, Sociology) cost approx 19,830 PKR for the 1st semester. Science programs with lab work (Botany, Chemistry, MLT) are approx 24,680 PKR for the 1st semester. Subsequent semesters are even lower as admission/registration fees are one-time.
