Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT) is the flagship higher education institution of South Punjab, located on the grand Abu Dhabi Road. Spanning over 275 acres, it is celebrated as one of Pakistan's most eco-friendly campuses, featuring a massive 1MW solar park and lush green landscaping. It serves as a vital hub for engineering and IT education in the region, bridging the gap between academia and the local industrial estate.
Established in 2014 by the Government of Punjab, it is named after the renowned Sufi poet Khwaja Ghulam Fareed of Kot Mithan.
