About IUB
The 'Jamia Abbasia' of the former princely state. A massive 1250-acre educational empire known for its solar park, huge transport fleet, and role as the intellectual center of the Cholistan region.
Originally founded in 1925 as the religious institute 'Jamia Abbasia' by the Nawabs of Bahawalpur, it was upgraded to a full university in 1975. It currently hosts over 60,000 students across multiple campuses, serving as the primary higher education hub for South Punjab.

Extremely affordable due to recent special subsidies. Regular BS programs start as low as 25,000 PKR/sem, increasing to ~40,000 PKR in later semesters. Self-Support programs range from 50,000 to 75,000 PKR.
