The historical heart of female education in the city of Iqbal. GCWUS is Sialkot's oldest and most prestigious institution for women, boasting a legacy of over 70 years. Inaugurated by Madr-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, the university is now a 'W' category institution recognized globally, ranking 20th in Pakistan in the THE Impact Rankings 2025. It is celebrated for its unique 'Finishing School' and its strategic industrial linkages within Sialkot’s export-oriented economy, providing a secure and progressive environment for over 5,000 female scholars.
The university's journey began on December 1, 1951, when it was inaugurated as a college by Fatima Jinnah. Starting with only 32 students and 10 staff members, it evolved from a high school building into a postgraduate college in 1989. Recognizing its exponential growth and academic contributions, the Government of Punjab granted it full university status in 2013. Today, it stands as a modern academic powerhouse that preserves its traditional values while fostering innovation in the industrial hub of Sialkot.

Morning programs are highly subsidized. For the 2026 session, BS Morning fees (CS, English, Psychology) start at approx 35,000 - 45,000 PKR per semester. Evening/SSDP (Self-Support) programs are higher, ranging from 60,000 to 80,000 PKR. A one-time Admission Fee of approx 10,000 PKR and a Registration Fee of 1,500 PKR are charged at the time of joining.
