A symbol of excellence with a century-long history. Located on Bosan Road, EUM is one of the largest public sector institutions in South Punjab. After serving for 100 years as Emerson College, it was reconstituted as a university in 2021, continuing its legacy of producing eminent leaders, actors, and scientists.
Founded on April 13, 1920, as Government College Multan, it was renamed in 1933 as Govt. Emerson College in honor of Sir Herbert William Emerson, Governor of Punjab. It was granted autonomous university status in 2021. Notable alumni include former Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and cricket legend Inzamam-ul-Haq.
