CECOS University of IT and Emerging Sciences

A powerhouse of technical innovation in the heart of Peshawar’s Hayatabad township. It recently secured a remarkable 93.26 score in the HEC Quality Assurance Progress Review (2025-26), topping all private universities in the province. CECOS was founded in 1986 by Engr. Muhammad Tanveer Javed as the CECOS Data Institute, starting with only five computers. Over nearly four decades, it evolved through significant milestones: establishing KP's first private commerce college in 1987, extending to its purpose-built Hayatabad campus in 1994, and finally being granted a full university charter by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2001. Today, it stands as a mature multi-disciplinary university with a legacy of 42,000+ global alumni and a reputation for pioneering private engineering education in the region.

Fees for 2026 reflect a program-specific model. BS Computer Science and IT are approx 110,000 PKR per semester. Engineering programs (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) are approx 125,000 PKR. The most premium program, Pharm-D, is approx 135,000 PKR. Notably, female students are eligible for an automatic 20% concession in tuition fees to promote gender diversity in STEM. A one-time Admission Processing Fee of 25,000 PKR applies.
