Capital University of Science and Technology

CUST traces its origins to 1998 when it began as the Islamabad Campus of the Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Karachi. Over nearly two decades, the campus grew in reputation for its excellence in Engineering and Management Sciences. Recognizing its academic maturity and infrastructure, the President of Pakistan gave assent to the 'Capital University of Science and Technology Act' on September 28, 2015, transforming the campus into an independent, federally chartered university. Since then, it has expanded to include faculties in Pharmacy and Health & Life Sciences.

Fees are calculated on a per-credit-hour basis. For the 2025-2026 cycle, Computing/Software Engineering is 14,000 PKR/Cr.Hr (~252,000 PKR per 18-hr sem). Civil Engineering is 15,000 PKR/Cr.Hr (~270,000 PKR per 18-hr sem). BBA is 13,000 PKR/Cr.Hr. Pharmacy (Pharm-D) is approx 285,000 PKR/sem. A one-time Admission Fee of 35,000 PKR applies at the time of joining.
