Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari was established in January 2010 through the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University at Lyari, Karachi Act, passed by the Sindh Assembly. BBSUL remains one of the most affordable public universities in Karachi for the 2026 session. BS Morning programs (Computer Science, AI, IT) cost approx 42,800 PKR for the 1st semester (including admission/security), dropping to 31,000 PKR for subsequent semesters. Business and Arts programs (BBA, English, Media) are approx 36,800 PKR for the 1st semester and 25,000 PKR thereafter. BS 5th Semester (Bridge) programs for 14-year degree holders range from 53,800 to 58,800 PKR for the entry semester. Financial aid is available through HEC and Sindh Government scholarship programs.
