Beaconhouse National University

Pakistan's first dedicated Liberal Arts university and a global trailblazer in creative education. Located on a 35-acre purpose-built campus in Tarogil, BNU is a non-profit institution designed by the award-winning architect Nayyer Ali Dada. The campus is a masterpiece of sustainable red-brick architecture, featuring a polygonal central green court that encourages interdisciplinary chance encounters. It is home to the world-renowned Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts and Design (MDSVAD), making it the primary choice for Pakistan's next generation of artists, architects, and media professionals.

Founded in 2003 by the Beaconhouse School System, BNU was established to fill the void in liberal arts and professional creative education in Pakistan. It received its formal charter from the Government of Punjab in 2005. Over two decades, it has evolved into a comprehensive university with eight specialized schools. BNU is distinguished as Pakistan's first WWF-certified 'EcoSmart Campus,' embodying a philosophy of environmental stewardship alongside academic excellence.

Fees vary by school for the 2025-26 session. School of Education (SE) is the most affordable at ~127,000 PKR/sem. Standard programs (Computing, Management, Psychology) are approx 254,000 PKR per semester. Premium creative programs (MDSVAD and RHSA Architecture) range from 354,500 to 447,000 PKR. One-time charges include an Admission Fee of 30,000 PKR and a refundable Security Deposit of 35,000 PKR.
